20" (51 cm.) Paper mache swivel head with gofun complexion, brown enamel eyes, painted brushstroked greyish hair and brows, closed mouth, over-sized ears, classic Ichimatsu body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Japanese, late 1800s. Value Points: fine original finish on the proud doll, wearing original silk kimono and with original maker's signature on paper-wrapped torso.
