18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, cobalt-blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, delicately feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, ears pierced into head, all-wooden body with shapely torso, dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, and extra swivel jointing at waist and thighs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1865. Value Points: beautiful pale bisque, superb wooden body with extra articulations, and presented with canvas-covered wooden trunk with brass trim and lift-out tray, containing an elaborate trousseau comprising eight various dresses, four bonnets, shoes, and undergarments.
