25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes with dot highlights, brush-stroked brows with feathered details, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with delicately-shaded outlined lips, pierced ears, dimpled chin, French composition fully-jointed body, bisque hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris Fre A 17 (head) (original Steiner paper label on the torso). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890. Value Points: very beautiful delicate bisque with artistic painting, dimpled chin and lip corners, original body and body finish, fine original costume, bonnet and shoes, and with very rare bisque hands with superb sculpting.
