Early English Day Bed with Painted Walls and Gilt Thread Embroidered Fittings

An open-fronted cubicle is papered with old transfer paper on the exterior, while the interior walls have hand-painted designs, and is framed with metallic fringed silk curtains. The interior bed is upholstered in dark green velvet with superb gilt thread embroidery. Good condition, all original. English, late 1700s.
