Description
10" (24 cm.) l. x 6"d. x 6"h. The early wooden box has elaborately-carved bone covering with various filigree and arch details, and painted accents, the date 1828 in carved letters at the front, and with red velvet pin cushion top. The interior has original green paper lining, and simple pin hinge opening. Very good condition. Continental, 1828, a fine early sewing box with intriguing date inscription.
