Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,almond-shaped blue glass inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French stretched kid-over-wooden body with shapely torso,dowel-jointing at shoulders,hips and knees,bisque arms to above the elbows. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4 (head) Au Paradis des Enfants Perreau Fils Paris (torso). Comments: attributed to Pierre-Francois Jumeau,circa 1870,the doll was presented by luxury Parisian doll shop,Au Paradis des Enfants located at rue de Rivoli. Value Points: very fine detail of facial modeling and painting,rare wooden body,well-sculpted bisque hands,wearing superb black silk two-piece gown with blue silk fringe trim,pagoda sleeves,with undergarments,leather shoes,wide-brimmed bonnet with blue silk ribbons,and watch with turquoise fob.
