Description
14" (35 cm). Composition socket head with highly characterized features unique to this doll, blue side-glancing eyes with white eyedots, painted upper lashes, single stroke brows, closed mouth with slight smile, dimpled cheeks, grey mohair wig, five piece composition body. CONDITION: Generally excellent. MARKS: Madame Alexander (torso and costume). COMMENTS: Alexander, circa 1935, the doll represents Doctor Dafoe from the Dionne Quintuplet series. VALUE POINTS: In fine, unplayed-with condition, the rare doll wears original doctor's uniform, shoes, socks, cap, spectacles, and has original wrist label and box with Dionne label and stamp "Doctor".
