21" (53 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass enamel inset eyes with rich spiral threading, rose-blushed eyeshadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with tiny tongue tip, accented lips, pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig over cork pate, French kid bebe body with gusset-jointing at hips, knees and elbows, bisque forearms, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, baby finger tip chipped on right hand. Marks: F. 8 G. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1880. Value Points: very beautiful face whose plump cheeks are complemented by delicate complexion, splendid eyes, original early body style.
