13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, almond-shaped blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, aquiline nose, closed mouth with center smile, accent line between the lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French all-wooden body with articulation at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, toes missing on left foot. Marks: C, Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, the head model was deposed by him in 1872, the body was a modified simple version of his fully-articulated poupee, allowing his firm to offer a wooden body at a more modest price than his deluxe version. Value Points: gorgeous face with beautiful painting, elaborate original coiffe, wooden body.
