Description

11" (28 cm.) doll. 15" overall. A bisque headed doll with blue glass eyes, painted features, open mouth, row of tiny teeth, auburn mohair wig, carton torso and upper limbs, bisque bare feet and bisque lower arms, is wearing a green chiffon and velvet garden costume,and is pulling a gilded four-wheel cart with twig-roof that is decorated with a bevy of silk flowers. Inside the cart are four little bisque heads peeking from that flower petals in which they are hidden. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E. 1 D. Comments: doll by Denamur, circa 1900, the presentation likely as seasonal centerpiece offered by luxury Parisian boutique. Value Points: charming and all-original novelty presentation.
