11" (28 cm.) Pink-tinted bisque socket-head, tiny blue glass eyes, one-stroke brows, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with defined tongue tip, laughing expression enhanced by dimpled chin, composition torso with primitive clockwork mechanism, metal upper arms and legs, composition lower legs, bisque hands posed outstretched. When wound, the doll totters from side to side as though learning to walk, extending her arms in a delighted manner. Condition: generally excellent, small chip at back bottom neck socket. Marks: 7679 Heubach (sunburst) Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: all-original condition of the amusing novelty doll, mechanism functions well, wonderful facial expression enhances the movements, original lace costume of aqua silk and lace.
