21" (53 cm.) Brunette wig arranged with braided chignon at her top crown and ringlet curls above each ear tied with blue velvet ribbons, sleep eyes with elongated lashes, adult lady body. Wearing ice-blue crisp slipper satin floor-length gown with white rayon faille lining, woven cream lace jacket with looped lapels, taffeta petticoat with tulle ruffles, panties, stockings, silver sling heels, accented with sapphire studded clasp at the waist, pearl earrings, faux-diamond bracelets, faux-sapphire ring. The costume is tagged. Near mint condition. Alexander, model 2235, "Melanie", appearing in the 1961 Alexander catalog as "dressed with great elegance" and "hairdo styled in the Godey manner".
