Description
13" (33 cm.) and 19". Each has plaster sculpted head with painted gleaming brown complexion, deeply impressed eyes, painted brown eyes, closed mouth with painted teeth, firmly stuffed brown muslin body with sculpted lower arms and legs, each wearing its original costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: L&R Baitz (paper tag on each). Comments: Lilly Baitz, Germany, early 20th century. Value Points: beautifully sculpted faces, especially of woman, depicting a North African couple from her World Costume Series, possibly one of a kind.
