18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, grey enamel inset eyes with darker iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French wooden poupee body with shapely torso, dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles, and having swivel articulation at the waist and upper legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: fine luxury model of the wooden-bodied poupee with 15 articulations on the beautifully shaped wooden body with original finish.
