Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, blue glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, tiny closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 (head and shoulders). Comments: French, circa 1870. Value Points: the daintily-featured doll is dramatized by large outlined eyes, very sturdy body, wearing antique white pique gown with brown cording and satin ribbon, undergarments, leather ankle boots.
