17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, accent line between the lips, brunette human hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, some scuffing and wear to body finish. Marks: VIII. Comments: Kestner, circa 1890. Value Points: pert facial expression on the rare early closed mouth doll, lovely bisque and painting.
