Solid domed paper mache head with gofun complexion, painted hair with brushstroked details, enamel inset eyes, incised upper eyeliner, tinted feathered brows, closed mouth with incised detail on lips, sculpted ears, paper mache shoulderplate, lower torso, lower legs and feet, and lower arms and hands, muslin midriff and upper arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Japan, circa 1930s. Value Points: original condition of the sought-after child doll, wearing original costume with elaborate symbolic designs on sleeves.
