Description
7" (18 cm.) One-piece bisque head and torso, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, slightly open O-shaped mouth with double rows of teeth, original brunette mohair wig, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, modeled bent elbows with pointing finger, painted white stockings to above the knees, flat black one-strap shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: JIO c. 1920 41 (incised) (and remnants of original Mimi paper label on torso). Comments: one of the trio of character dolls designed by the American artist, circa 1920, made in Germany. Value Points: rare doll with original wig, great expression, in rarer large size.
