Felt swivel head with center seam and stitch-shaped features, prominent nose, black bead eyes, thin line mouth, stitched ears, painted hair, jointing at shoulders and hips, skinny legs with pronounced knees, over-sized feet, with stitched-on blue felt jacket and grey trousers, black leather shoes, blue felt cap with black brim, and having decorative braid, leather belt, Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Steiff (button in ear). Comments: Germany, Steiff, circa 1915. Value Points: rare early model with original button in ear, wearing original costume.
