17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass eyes, painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate French five-piece paper mache body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E. 4 D. Comments: Denamur, circa 1890, costumed as fortune teller with skirt of folded paper fortunes written in ink-script French. Included is terra cotta Neapolitan figure with expressive features.
