Description
6 1/2" sketch. 20" x 17" framed. The costume sketches on parchment offer proposals for three costumes for Molly (Shirley) in the 1935 film "Our Little Girl". Each is a nightwear or robe costume, including nightgown with embroidered blue stars (pencil noted 4765) worn by Molly as she sings "Lullaby to a Doll", a long-sleeved nightgown with pom-pom trim (pencil noted 4764) worn in the scene when Mother reveals that she and Molly are going to live with Rolf, and a third nightgown (pencil noted 4766). Each is framed. Generally excellent. The costumes were designed by Rene Hubert, who was credited with the costume design for that film.
