7" (18 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, dark cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered arched brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 8 (head and shoulder plate). Comments: French, attributed to Blampoix, circa 1860. Value Points: beautiful gentle face with dramatic eyes and finest bisque and painting.
