15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, lushly painted lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth, accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, wearing antique blue sateen dress, undergarments, blue knit stockings, blue kidskin shoes impressed C.M. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: P 6 (impressed, and artist marks on head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, the doll was made on special commission for Paris doll or department store, circa 1890, that remains still a mystery. Value Points: rare mark and beautiful face and painting, original body and body finish.
