Carved wooden socket head with gofun complexion, narrow enamel eyes with pronounced eyelids, feathered brows, open mouth, tiny teeth, black painted pate, carved wooden torso and lower arms and legs, bare feet, padded crepe upper arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Japan, early 1900s. Value Points: included with the doll are 7 interchangeable lady wigs (each a different style and with variations of elaborate decorations or combs) and, in addition to the elaborate costume which she wears, are two additional costumes, each with sewn-in cloth English-language label, indicating "Samurai unmarried lady" with accessories.
