Description
13" (33 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features and brown hair with delicate forelock curls, well-defined ears and eye sockets, shaded brown eyes, brown upper eyeliner, closed mouth in laughing expression with impressed cheek dimples, cloth ring neck, body is padded armature frame with stockinette cover, mitten hands, rounded feet, green knit costume. Condition: original finish albeit scuffed, body worn and mended in places. Marks 17334 (left foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, their model "Schlenkerchen". Type II, made in 1922 only. Value Points: especially wonderful detail of impressed facial features including laughing expression, eye crinkles, detail of hair modeling on the rare doll.
