23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, brushstroked brows with feathering detail, rounded nose tip with accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with defined tongue and two painted upper teeth, brunette mohair wig. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 116/A 50. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912. Value Points: especially fine quality of bisque and luminous complexion on the cheerful-faced toddler, with deeply impressed dimples and laughter lines, rarer body with original finish, and wearing wonderful antique sailor costume.
