Description
9" (23 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, painted lashes, single stroke brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, French composition body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Paris G.D. 1. Comments: Henri Delcroix, circa 1887, the firm registered that mark in that year. Value Points: especially pretty doll with lovely bisque and eyes, original wig, body, and elaborate original folklore costume including paisley shawl, woven bonnet, purple silk apron with black velvet trim, lace-edged hankie, and wooden shoes.
