All cloth doll with pressed and oil painted head,brown hair with detailed curls onto forehead,defined ears,rosy complexion,green painted eyes with white eyedots,black and brown upper eyeliner,short stroke brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with pouty expression,stitch-jointed arms,disc hip jointed legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse 16566? (on foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse,circa 1940. Value Points: beautifully preserved original painting of the wistful child,wearing vintage green plaid corduroy dress,knit undergarments and stockings,leather shoes.
