Description
27" (69 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, blonde brushstroked boyish hair with forelock details, blue painted eyes, painted short curly upper lashes, dark eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth modeled as though open, with defined tongue, outlined lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, retouch on legs. Marks: Germany K&H (in banner) 548 15. Comments: Kley and Hahn, circa 1912, the model was made in several variations, e. g. wigged or painted hair and glass or painted eyes, this being one of the rarest variations. Value Points: especially fine modeling of character features and finest quality of bisque and painting.
