Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated facial shape and very full cheeks, brown glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, dark painted lashes, rose blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the downcast lips, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig, early composition and wooden fully-jointed body, pretty antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, hands repainted. Marks: S 11 H 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: fine luminous bisque on the wistful-faced child with beautiful painting of features.
