15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, brown glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with shapely torso, stitched and separated fingers, wearing original muslin chemise, pearl necklace, earrings. Condition: generally excellent, tiny flake bottom right eye rim. Marks: 2 (head and shoulders). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: very sturdy body, original wig, costume, jewelry.
