Description
7" (18 cm.) Bisque shoulder head with blonde sculpted curly hair, blue glass inset eyes, closed mouth, painted features, muslin body, bisque lower arms and legs, painted purple luster boots with tassel ties. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1880. Value Points: the doll is presented in her original costume with accessories, designed as "Sewing Companion" with silk gown whose pocket holds a package of needles, pincushion balanced on her head, and her waist belt suspending scissors in a leather case, and a thimble in a silk drum-shaped frame; rare size with glass eyes, and on original base.
