Description
14" (36 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead, black sculpted hair with two very full ringlet curls at either side of face and extending down onto shoulders, and with braided chignon at the back of head, painted dark eyes, aquiline nose, closed mouth with pert smile, slender kid body, wooden lower arms and legs, painted green flat shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: rare coiffure, original painted finish, and with antique costume and undergarments.
