Description
19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, deep blue glass sleep eyes that operate from wire lever at the back of the head, painted lashes, brush-stroked brows, blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig, composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, body finish original albeit a bit scrubbed and one finger missing. Marks: Sie C 2 J. Steiner S.G.D.G. J. Bourgoin Succ. (head) J. St (and cadeceus stamp on body) (eyes also signed). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1885, rarer model with signed eyes, original body, wearing wonderful Steiner original dress with scenes of children playing, bonnet, undergarments, shoes, stockings.
