10" (25 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted facial features, blue eyes, closed mouth with smiling expression, row of teeth, on wooden block torso with bellows in torso which causes hands to clap cymbals when squeezed, wire upper arms and legs, wooden lower arms and legs, silk costume, jester cap with blonde mohair wig. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 225. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1910. Value Points: the laughing jester wears original (frail) costume, has wonderful character face.
