17" (43 cm.) All-felt dolls, each with swivel head, pressed and painted highly characterized features, jointed felt arms and legs, depicting Max and Moritz as portrayed in The Katzenjammer Kids comic strip that was inspired by the German children's book written by Wilhelm Busch; including Max with black mohair wig, wide googly eyes, bulbous nose, smiling expression; and Moritz with auburn mohair wig, painted brown eyes, upturned nose. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (each has original paper label of R. John Wright, numbered 9/100). Comments: R. John Wright, circa 2010. Value Points: included are original boxes and documents from the low edition series by the renowned American artist.
