Description
20" (51 cm.) All composition with socket head, brown sleep eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, short fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, brunette human hair, jointed shoulders and hips, wearing plaid cotton school dress, undergarments, shoes and socks, and with navy coat, metal wrist tag. Condition: generally excellent, some restoration on fingers. Comments: designed by Dewees Cochran for Effanbee American Children series, late 1930s. Value Points: gentle expression achieved by shy smile of closed mouth, impressed cheek dimples.
