Description
Comprising a woven black straw hat with graduated-width upturned brim decorated with a large satin bow, with label of "Cathay California"; ivory satin hat with fitted white fur sides, with original label "Sue-Claire New York, Paris, San Francisco"; white felt hat with stamp on felt form "Monopril HB made in France", with wide upturned brim and overlaid with long curly white fur, trimmed with grosgrain band and ribbon at the crown, with two attached combs, and with label of "Lilli of California"; black stiffened velvet cap trimmed with narrow black grosgrain ribbon with cloth label "An Original Cathay of California"; and a narrow hat band with open top that is overlaid with coral/cream curly feathers with original cloth label "Originated Jennie Simon Hollywood". Excellent condition. Circa 1940s.
