Description
6" (15 cm.) Each is one-piece bisque figure of young boy or girl with sculpted hair and dramatically large painted googly eyes, gazing at each other, outlined with sunburst-shaped rays, tiny nose, "O"-shaped mouth, with arms outstretched with starfish-shaped hands, sculpted and painted costumes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: deisgned by the British illustrator, Chloe Preston, from the Peek-a-Boo series, and made in Germany at the Schafer & Vater firm, circa 1925. Value Points: wonderful pair of storybook children with elaborate detail of sculpting and painting.
