17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, amber-brown paperweight glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, mauve-blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid bebe body with gusset-jointing, bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent excepting a faint early hairline on forehead (under wig), body very sturdy and perfect bisque hands. Marks: 2 (head and shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his first period bebe known as "Brevete". circa 1877. Value Points: very beautiful bisque and painting, sturdy body, original dress, and with original shoes in rare cream kidskin color signed "Bebe Bru Paris".
