Description
6 1/2" (17 cm.) Each has hard composition head with painted complexion, moustache, hair or bald pate, and facial features highlighted by large O-shaped eyes, metal body with ball-bearing jointing allowing infinite articulation, composition hands and feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (original Bucherer stamp on torso). Comments: Bucherer, Swiss, early 20th century, depicting the beloved characters Mutt and Jeff from the U.S. comic strip. Value Points: rare and amusing figures in well-preserved condition including original costumes with added comic celluloid buttons featuring the figures.
