23" (58 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass enamel inset eyes, painted brown lashes, incised eye liner, feathered brown brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with paper-thin opening between shaded and outlined lips, sculpted teeth, brunette mohair wig, French composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed in antique boy's corduroy jacket, trousers, woolen cap, undergarments, shoes and socks. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 238 Paris 8. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912, from their art character series. Value Points: unusually large size of the character boy with expressive features, fine quality of bisque.
