12" (30 cm.) Solid domed earthenware head with flanged neck, painted hair, large brown disc-jointed eyes, painted upper lashes, single-stroke brows, tiny nose, closed mouth with pert smile, muslin body with disc-jointed arms and legs, antique dress. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D.R.G,M.954642 HS (intertwined) Germany. Comments: Herm Steiner, circa 1930, with registered "Living Eye" system. Value Points: the cherubic smile neatly contrasts the impish googly eyes.
