Description
24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head with very deeply-modeled dimples and laughter lines, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with two beaded upper teeth and defined tongue, shaded lips, original brunette mohair wig, composition toddler body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 116/A 62. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912. Value Points: rare large size allowing for wonderful character definition, fine quality of bisque, delightful chubby body, original store costume including toddler dress and shorts, green velvet coat and matching tam, socks, shoes, and carrying German mohair pup with original Steiff button and tag labeled 3314.00.
