14" (36 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead with perfectly oval face and strong elongated throat, dark brown sculpted hair with clustered ringlet curls at each side of forehead and a braided chignon at the back held by a sculpted comb, defined eye sockets, dark eye painted eyes, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth with upturned lip corners, slender kid body with wooden lower limbs, painted red flat shoes and wearing original costume. Condition: generally excellent, paint flake on nose tip. Comments: Germany, circa 1830. Value Points: rare early model with elaborate coiffure and rare brown hair color, original finish.
