7" (18 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth, blonde human hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing pretty hand-knit dress. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 3/0 H 949. Comments: Germany, circa 1890. Value Points: rare size of the early closed mouth doll with fully-articulated body, the doll is presented in luxury woven basket with rose silk tufted interior along with various accessories including a double-lidded brass basket with flowers and larger silk purse.
