All composition with socket head, painted shaded blue eyes in deeply designed sockets, all-around brown eyeliner and painted lashes, red upper eyeliner, fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth in slight smiling expression, impressed cheek dimples, blonde human hair, jointed shoulders and hips, wearing gentleman's suit with tweed pants, jacket, shirt and tie, hat, shoes and socks. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Effanbee American Children (head) Effanbee Anne Shirley (torso). Comments: designed by Dewees Cochran for Effanbee American Children series, late 1930s. Value Points: wonderful beguiling expression with most artistic painting of features.
