Description
For 18" lady-body poupee. 3 1/2" shoulder width. 9" waist. Of fine ivory silk faille,the two-piece gown features a fitted short jacket with ruching at the center bodice and back,and skirt that is elaborately draped and cross-draped at the front above four tiers of lace-edged ruffles,and with elaborately-flounced bustle in ivory and coral silk faille that extends into a train at the back,fully-lined,with pleated muslin dust ruffle and trimmed generously on jacket and skirt with Alencon lace. With a matching bonnet with generous flounces and draping. Generally excellent. French,circa 1870.
