8" (20 cm.) All-carved wood with ball-socket head and legs, well-detailed carving of mane, inset glass eyes, closed mouth with defined lips, leather ears, carved horns, rope tail, shaped hooves. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1900, Style III of the buffalo. Value Points: outstanding detail of carving, and very fine preservation of original finish.
