Description
8" (20 cm.) Standing upon a wooden platform with decorative paper covers are a bisque head boy and girl, each with painted facial features, closed mouth, five piece paper mache body, painted shoes and socks, and each wearing factory original costume. The dolls are posed with metal hoops and sticks, and when the toy is keywound with porcelain knob, the dolls nod their heads up and down, tapping their sticks on the hoops as though rolling them, and the little boy appears to be briskly walking back and forth. Condition: generally excellent, costumes are dusty. Comments: Germany, circa 1900. Value Points: charming childhood activity of the late Victorian era is aptly presented.
